This is a cuddly cloth doll of my favorite Gand bounty hunter, about 9” long and 100% hand-sewn -- in other words, a “life-size” version of this one here.
I first made a sort of bag-like body (he has no proper legs) which I stuffed lightly with Poly-Fill. To this I attached the head and hands (which had already been stuffed), and then sewed up the robe and harness. I sewed on the button eyes last of all. (Actually, several months went between finishing the sewing and adding the eyes, since things were very busy and I didn’t have much time for button shopping.) The eyes are buttons made with real shell (purchased at a Michael’s in Tucson, Arizona, if anyone was curious). A closeup follows:
