Sheltay Retrac (yes, that’s “Carter” spelled backwards) is aide to the Alderaanian Senator Bail Organa and one of the many beautiful background characters in the Prequel Trilogy. She is seen walking down a corridor with Bail towards the end of Revenge of the Sith. Her cream-colored dress and rather curious cape were originally submitted as a costume for Padmé Amidala, but were not approved for Padmé -- too form-fitting, perhaps, for a woman trying to conceal her pregnancy. So they gave the costume to Sheltay instead, and as a customizer always in search of background characters to immortalize in plastic, I’m sure glad they did!
This Sheltay is made from a Princess Leia Collection Ceremonial Leia, with the necklace sanded off. Her head comes from a POTF2 Flashback Ceremonial Leia, which seems to be a fairly good, though not exact, match for the actress’s face (seen here). The long hair comes from POTF2 Ewok Celebration Leia, naturally with some trimming dowm and repainting. The dress and cape are hand-sewn from cream-colored satin-like polyester and a bit of ribbon the same color to get her cape to look right in front. The cape was by no means easy to make -- it took about three tries to get the shoulder holes in the right place!
