Modern Blue Snaggletooth

(sort of)

A quasi-experimental custom, just for fun. The legendary Blue Snaggletooth, a pack-in figure from one of the early Kenner playsets, has become something of a Holy Grail in Star Wars action figure collectorship. Since I never owned this figure, I thouht I'd make my own.

As you can see in the link above, the Blue Snag was taller, thinner, sleeker, and bluer than the basic vintage Snaggletooth. Accordingly, I decided to use the tall, svelte POTJ Ellorrs Madak (Duros) body as a base, in contrast to the shorter and stockier POTJ Zutton, the modern Snaggletooth. This I repainted, and o it I attached the head from the POTJ Zutton and some leftover hands from my fodder box. (The hands are attached using the “peg-and-socket technique” described on A. Nonymous's Customizing Tips page, giving him wrist articulation.) Finally, I gave him the accessories from both Zutton and the Duros, two guns and a glass. When I do my first photonovel wth a pub scene (and it is a question of “when,” not “if”), look for this fine blue fellow!
