I enjoy customizing Rebel pilots in outfits other than their X-Wing flight suits, just to give myself a challenge. (The only exception so far has been 12” Ooryl Qrygg, but as a 12-incher, he presented totally different challenges anyway.) This blue Mon Calamari pilotess from the Rogue Squadron books was made from a Princess Leia Collection ANH Leia body, with a small Sculpey collar the head and parts of the arms of POTF2 Admiral Ackbar. I had to do some whittling, drilling, and sculpting on the arms to get them to fit into the Leia arm sockets, and I also had to use arm pieces from one or two other action figures (don’t remember which ones now), but now she at least has one more point of arm articulation.
At some point I hope to redo this figure, in a different outfit, perhaps using head and hands from Vintage Admiral Ackbar, which are smaller and -- dare I say it? -- more feminine looking.
