Another spare-parts custom, made from the
leftovers of my first custom-figure self-portrait just for the heck of it. She’s pretty much the stereotypical blond, buxom, Germanic barmaid, sort of like the one on the logo of St. Pauli Girl Beer. The body and pink dress are from the Princess Leia Collection Ewok Celebration Leia, and the head is from POTF2 Flashback Ceremonial Leia, with the hair and eyebrows painted blond.
The petticoat/underskirt I sewed myself out of some cream-colored synthetic taffeta-like fabric and hemmed, at the advice of A. Nonymous, with clear nail polish. When I was applying nail polish to the hem of the skirt, I accidentally spilled a little on the skirt, leaving a spot or two. I was able to cover the nail polish edge (and spot) by sewing some “oyster”-colored Wright’s Flexi-Lace hem tape around the lower half of her skirt. Looks much better now, and adds a bit of that old-world lace look.
Eventually I would like to find a couple of dollhouse- or
Playmobil-sized beer mugs or steins for her to carry out to thirsty bar
patrons, but my local Michael’s has unfortunately turned up nothing
eligible thus far. If anyone can help or suggest anything, please let
me know.
You are probably wondering, what/where the Sam Hill is Nydringia? It’s
in the Kathol sector, in the Rotha star system, and it is featured in
fanfics-in-progress by both myself and Beedo. But you won’t find it
in any official maps of the Star Wars galaxy because . . . I
made it up!
