Another of the Findswoman’s fanfictional Gands. (There aren’t really that many!) Trynfor the Mad is a legendary Gand Findsman of ages past, celebrated in song and story for his noble deeds and for bringing unity to his planet’s warring Findsman sects. Even so, he has plenty of dark secrets and griefs of his own -- hence the black outfit. Also, his golden eyes have special significance of their own, and it is no coincidence that both of the fanfictional Gand characters on my website so far both have them...

In several ways, Trynfor is more of a kitbash than a custom proper. I based this figure on a Hasbro G. I. Joe body (specifically Cobra Commander, but any would have done), and used my X-Acto and some DAS Pronto modeling compound to give him the proper three-fingered hands. The head, harness, and breathing gear all came from Hasbro’s 12” Zuckuss, and were repainted (and the grille on the mask resculpted) to differentiate him from the younger, better known Findsman.
And now on to the clothing, which is culled from several sources. I wish I could take credit for sewing the black leather coat, but I can’t. It came from a BBI Cy Com Colossus figure, and was an extremely generous gift from 1 Dark Elf of the Men With Dolls forums. (Thank you again and again, 1DE!) You can’t see it, but underneath the coat is a shirt and pants from Hasbro’s 12” Count Dooku, with a pair of black and silver buckle boots originally from a BBI Andromeda Dylan Hunt. The sash-like strips on either side of his belt were hand-sewn, just as a ginchy added touch. Here are a cuple of detail shots:
In many of these photos, I’ve posed Trynfor with various weapons that seemed appropriately Gand Findsman-ish. The polearm is from the 12” Leia as Boushh figure. Alas, I don’t know the source of the big gun, the knife, or the exceedingly cool implement pictured below. If anyone can identify these, do drop me a line!
