Welcome to the Findswoman’s home on the Web! Please enjoy your stay.
Don’t forget to visit my friend Beedo Sookcool’s excellent Custom Action Figure Home Page. Beedo was the one who got me started on this hobby to begin with.
Please note: None of the figures that you see on this site are for sale. Furthermore, I am currently unable to take commissions for custom action figures or dolls. Thank you very much for your understanding!
What’s New?
30 November 2008 I’m celebrating the end of the Thanksgiving weekend with my first update in more than two months! I just finished and posted a hand-sewn Zuckuss rag doll -- my first ever creation of this kind. And since this li’l darlin’ doesn’t fit into any of my usual categories (4”, 12”, etc.), I had to make a new Other Creations category in order to accommodate it. Hope to have more things posted there soon!
15 September 2008 Nothing much -- just added a few more photos to the Gandish Gallery, this time of a few cards and the like -- including my first sketch card ever! (Gosh, what if this becomes a habit....?)
8 September 2008: I finally have added some actual links to the Links page. Come see!
6 September 2008 Notice anything new and different on the navbar? Inspired by Andy Marti’s excellent Zuckuss Hunter website, I have just added an all-new section to my own website: Findswoman’s Gandish Gallery, showcasing my very small collection of everything having to do with Zuckuss and the Gand species, custom and otherwise, including loose photos of the brand-spanking-new Kotobukiya ArtFX Zuckuss statue. Come take a look!
26 June 2008 As promised in the last update, I’m proud to present yet another new installment of The (Non-)Adventures of Herbert H. Antilles, this one entitled A Disturbance in the Force. I’m on a roll, if I do say so myself!
2 April 2008 Back from Germany at last! That means I've reopened my Trade List and am accepting trade or purchase offers from all comers. Hope to have some new things added soon, and maybe even hopefully some actual new customs, etc., since it’s been such an intolerably long time.
29 October 2007 Since I am leaving for Germany tomorrow for the second time, I’m afraid I’ve had to close the Trade List once again. It will reopen December 21, 2007 for two weeks before I go to Germany again on January 7, 2008, so do check back then!
8 October 2007 Happy Columbus Day (and Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian readers)! Only a very humdrum update, I’m afraid. Just adding one thing to the Trade List: the Star Wars “Spectacular” fold-out cover from the February 2005 issue of Vanity Fair. Do make me an offer. And some freebie trading cards from Celebration IV, which are free with a regular transaction.
10 September 2007 My good pal and fellow customizer Beedo is celebrating the tenth anniversary of his website... by raffling off fantastic free prizes! These include one-of-a-kind customs crafter by him, a number of recent exclusive Star Wars figures, and much more! No purchase whatsoever is required to take part in the fun. Here’s his official press release:
Amazing! Astounding! Adjective! Beedo Sookcool’s Cool Sci-Fi Page is celebrating its tenth birthday this September! To mark this special anniversary, Beedo himself is giving away prizes! For full details on rules and prizes, click on over to Beedo
Sookcool’s Cool Sci-Fi Page!
To which, I might add, links can be found on every page of The Findswoman Collection. So check it out, already!
3 Sept 2007 Happy Labor Day! Just added a fantastic new have to the Trade List: Star Wars Celebration IV exclusive McQuarrie concept Luke Skywalker! (Wow, that’s one long name for a 4-inch figure....) Asking $20 or better offer -- send an e-mail or a forum PM if interested.
15 June 2007 Finally finished a custom I’ve been contemplating for a while: a Super-Articulated Zuckuss in the tradition of Hasbro’s VOTC and VTSC lines of Star Wars figures.
5 June 2007 Added some group photos of my eleven customs that appeared in the Ultimate Group Project (UGP) fan-constructed, action-figure-scaled diorama featured at Star Wars Celebration IV (May 24-28, 2007, Los Angeles). I also have posted my photos from the convention, including several of the UGP diorama, here on Flickr.
29 May 2007 Just added many new items to the Trade List, and I invite all and sundry to dig in!
4 May 2007 The Trade List has reopened! Do come on over and check it out! Both purchases and trades are welcome.
29 January 2007 As of today, I will not be doing any trading or transactions of figures, parts, or accessories until April 30, 2007, as I will be away in Hamburg, Germany doing dissertation research. However, you’re still welcome to enjoy looking around the site, and I will still be reachable via e-mail. Watch for the trade list to reopen April 30!
23 January 2007 I have added prices to everything on my Trade List. As of the present posting, I prefer cash transcations to trades, since I am preparing to leave for Germany in a week. Also, please note that after January 29, I will NOT be able to accept ANY transactions until the first week of May. So come 'n' get it now! :)
19 January 2007 I recently gave my 12” Padmé Amidala (Arena Escape) a new body: the extra-super-posable Soldier Story S1 female body from TriadToys.com. Check her out here!
19 January 2007 Added a new 12” doll: Natasha, a healer and light magic user from the excellent tactical RPG Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones (Nintendo GBA). More soon!
5 January 2007 Nothing new added -- just pruned my 2006 “What’s New?” items. New stuff on its way soon, though.
2 January 2007 Happy New Year! I’ve added links to The Adventures of Honey and Jet, some of my first-ever photocomics, in the Photocomics section. Also added two new features to the 12” Dolls section: Findswoman’s 1:6 Kitbashes and Findswoman’s 1:6 Outtakes. Come take a look!
